Description
Responds to and researches any credit inquiries from sales reps, customers or outside sources. Monitors collections, and state license requirements as applicable to our customers. Maintains files on customers such as credit applications, returned checks, collections and delinquency records.
Input and maintain information on short pays. Print and distribute short pay reports.
Provide weekly updates on status of chain A/R to Credit Supervisor.
Resolve credit claims from large chain accounts.
Answer incoming Credit Department phone calls and reply to voice mail messages.
Retrieve copies of checks and other back-up documentation from A/R.
Opening of new accounts called in by sales representatives and customers
Maintain account information, including updating license information, sales representative assignments, credit application information or information provided by Routing.
Process bank references on all Credit Applications.
Call and email representatives on orders holding, potential delinquents, short pays and on hold.
Serve as back-up for Cashiers and Switchboard.
Forward copies of invoices to Airlines and follow up on past due bills.
Filing and retrieving files.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent and up to 3 years experience in a credit/accounting department or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education.
Must have the ability to sit for long periods of time with moderate periods of walking, standing or bending.
Must have above average mathematics skills with the ability to interpret percentages and graphs.
Preferred Credentials:
Experience in the wine and spirits industry with knowledge of regulatory affairs involving customer credit and payment options.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
