Job Description:
The Social Media Copywriter - Part-Time will collaborate directly with the Editorial Director and senior managers to manage the production and workflow of the editorial and copy team. This role requires a mid-to-senior copywriter with beauty industry experience in retail, editorial, agency, or brand. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting captivating captions, overlays, and light storyboards tailored for various social media platforms including Instagram, Instagram Stories, TikTok, Pinterest, and more. They should possess a deep understanding of beauty, lifestyle, and pop culture while being proficient in Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and retail and social media best practices. The candidate must be skilled in writing for both upper funnel and lower funnel content.
Responsibilities:
Write engaging captions, overlays, and light storyboards for social media platforms. Collaborate with the Editorial Director and senior managers to manage production and workflow. Stay updated on beauty and beauty culture trends to inform content creation. Utilize Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) proficiently. Use project tracking tools such as Monday.com, frame.io, and Miro to manage tasks efficiently. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, matrixed organization. Welcome feedback and reviews professionally, striving for continuous improvement. Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in English, Creative Writing, or Journalism. 4
years of experience in copywriting, with a focus on social and digital copy preferred. Experience in the beauty, retail, or lifestyle editorial industry. In-depth knowledge of beauty and beauty culture. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint). Strong familiarity with project tracking tools (Monday.com, frame.io, Miro). Flexibility and comfort with ambiguity in highly matrixed organizations. Professionalism and openness to feedback and reviews.
