POSITION
Summary:
The Director of Public Relations & Crisis Management will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communications to safeguard and advance Ulta Beauty's business priorities and reputation.
The director will manage executive thought leadership and visibility efforts as well as proactive and reactive reputation management/risk mitigation in parallel with enterprise-wide initiatives and projects.
This leader must have specific risk/crisis communications experience to manage communications relative to brand and business efforts.
His/her expertise will ensure a consistent narrative anchored in the company's strengths as industry leaders, innovative disruptors, brand builds and beauty and retail experts as aligned with Ulta Beauty's mission, vision and values.
S/he will work closely with senior leadership, reporting to the VP of PR, to develop communications that protect the brand's reputation, differentiate and drive guest and brand partner preference.
The role requires a seasoned, innovative, driven communicator who is adept at moving from strategy to execution, works well under pressure, has a keen eye to what's around the corner and a deep passion for communications with proven strengths in risk management and executive engagement.

Responsibilities:
Manage multiple facets of the external communications relative to brand reputation, incorporating risk assessments, problem-solving skills and an ability to prioritize shifting workloads within a dynamic environment Operate proactively and reactively, through the lens of planned and agile risk mitigation Lead proactive and reactive crisis communications, leveraging proper mitigation strategies and processes, mapping potential vulnerabilities and managing cross-functional engagement.
Collaborate seamlessly and strategically to deliver executive thought leadership, leveraging unique points of difference to elevate narratives meaningfully and consistently across mediums/channels Deliver strong results that build upon brand awareness and reputation, expand external relationships and ultimately drive business and brand partner growth Provide continuity and strong counsel to internal leadership and communications partners relative to executive communications Inform leaders of key insights, current events and trends relative to potential risks for existing or future brand efforts and/or positioningREQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field 12
years of relevant business experience Reputation management expertise with ability to develop integrated communications and crisis communications plans Proven thought leadership capabilities and business acumen to establish and deliver strategies that drive business priorities and add value to the business Ability to work closely with and provide counsel to Senior Executives on sensitive and confidential matters; demonstrates strong listening, negotiation and presentation skills, offering informed opinions and sound judgment Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive assignments simultaneously and leverage strong interpersonal skills and judgment to build consensus and influence effective decision making in dynamic environment Demonstrates strong media relations skills with established connections to successful execute industry-leading efforts Excellent oral and written communications abilities from executive communications to social copy to thought leadership content Proven ability to operate as a point of integration across organization with agility and resilience Experience managing agency relationships, team budgetABOUTAt Ulta Beauty (NASDAQ:
